Order of Events

6:30am – Aussie Fun Run

Start your Australia Day with a run, jog, or walk in the 5km Aussie Fun Run. Enjoy a free Aussie breakfast BBQ from 7:30am after the event. Full event details are available on the Aussie Fun Run event page.

9am – Australia Day Flag Raising Ceremony

Experience the historic flag raising with the Royal Guard of Honour and a 21-gun salute.

9.50am – Australia Day Awards Ceremony

Celebrate the incredible contributions of Townsville residents with the Australia Day Awards, recognising their commitment to the community and promoting civic pride.

10.30am – Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony

Witness the welcoming of up to 50 new citizens to Townsville as part of the Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony.
