What's On Townsville is a free digital events calendar for the Townsville region. We welcome all event managers, artists, musicians, local community groups, businesses and organisations to promote their events by listing through this website.

Event Submission Guidelines

All events submitted to the What's On Townsville website must:

  • occur at a venue or location within the Townsville region
  • be open to the general public
  • have broad appeal for people from the local community as well as visitors to our area
  • be submitted by the event organiser
  • be specific and contain confirmed event details prior to submission. Events with dates or locations yet to be announced cannot be listed

Townsville City Council is not obliged to list events submitted and reserves the right to edit or decline any event.

Content submitted, including images, is subject to review by Townsville City Council to ensure listings are consistent in style and adhere to the website guidelines.

Intellectual Property

When you make a submission to What’s On Townsville, you agree to grant Townsville City Council a non-exclusive world-wide, royalty-free, perpetual license to copy, distribute and display the submitted listing, including any images, in whole or in part for the Council’s use including, but not limited to, reproduction and distribution by Council in any media format via any printed and digital channel for non-profit purposes.

Terms and Conditions

If you browse or access any content or data on our website, you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions. Townsville City Council may change the terms and conditions at any time and your use of the website is acceptance of those terms.

Conditions of use

  • The purpose of collecting this information is to enable the creation of a user account for event submitters to edit / update their event submissions, allow website editors to contact you about your event listing/s if required, and for website improvement processes.
  • Supply of this information is mandatory as part of your event submission.
  • Townsville City Council is the agency that is collecting and storing the information.
  • Under the Information Privacy Act 2009 you have the right to access and request to change personal information held by Townsville City Council.

Information collected by the Council is intended for use by staff in the marketing, communications and digital teams. Townsville City Council will only use the information for the purposes for which it was collected.

We seek feedback from our website users to improve the information and services provided on the site. Providing feedback is voluntary and does not in any way affect your access to this website. Personal information may be used to reply to your question or comment.
