Grab your mates, lace up your sneakers, and take on the 5km course – whether you choose to run, jog, or walk. It’s all about having fun, staying active, and celebrating Aussie spirit.

Order of Events

• 6am Registration (this can also be completed prior via online)
• 6:30am Welcome & Fun Run Briefing
• 6:40am First wave of runners starts
• 6:45am Second wave of casual joggers, walkers, prams, pets starts.
• 7:25am Random draws begin
• 7:35am Winners announced

• First Place 18+ male & female
• Under 18 male & female
• Best Dressed Team
• Best Dressed Individual

Course

The Fun Run course is:

• through Jezzine Barracks to Cook Street and The Esplanade (towards Soroptimist Park)
• take u-turn onto footpath and run up the boardwalk
• turn left up to the Kissing Point lookout
• head down the ramp to Jezzine Way East, and clockwise around the rockpool.
• continue along The Strand to Strand Park and then clockwise around Strand Park
• return along The Strand
• proceed up Jezzine Way to the finish point (there are no road closures, so please run on the path).

Cost

Entry cost is a gold coin donation on the day.

All proceeds support Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation, who help our north Queensland community by brightening the hospital and patient experience at Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Food and Drink

There will be a free BBQ breakfast from 7:30am (first 500 people only)

Coffee vans and a hydration station will also be on-site. It is preferred that you bring your own cups and water bottle.
