Get ready, Townsville—Walk to Defeat MND is heading your way for the very first time! After more than a decade of incredible community spirit in southeast Queensland, this inclusive and inspiring event is now bringing the movement to the beautiful Strand.

Join us for a 1.5km or 3km walk or roll along the waterfront with your family, friends, colleagues—even your dog! Together, we’ll raise essential funds and awareness for those living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

Why We Walk

MND Queensland delivers critical care, services, and life-changing equipment to Queenslanders with MND—many of whom are not eligible for the NDIS. Your fundraising makes this possible. 💙

Event Schedule

• 9am: registration and t-shirt pickup
• 10am: walk begins
• 11am: walk concludes, awards and prize draws
• 12noon: event close
