Shivanjani Lal - Mere Porvaj [I am Remembering] is presented by Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts in partnership with the North Australian Festival of Arts.

Shivanjani Lal is an artist and curator, whose work has been exhibited internationally in Australia, New Zealand, India, Barbados, France, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and Italy. The artist often uses personal grief to account for ancestral loss, and recent works have used story-telling, objects and video to account for lost histories and to explore narratives of indenture and migratory histories from the Indian and Pacific oceans.
