Overview
Dancenorth’s Still Dancing Classes are for those who prefer taking a little more time to move. Initial exercises prepare participants thoroughly and efficiently for full and flowing movement sequences, with a diverse soundtrack spanning abstract and popular music. This class is ideal for mature movers (aged 50+), or those seeking a gentle return to dance.
Experienced teachers guide participants to explore and practice a broad range of movements at their own pace, standing or seated. Sequences are designed to maintain and improve coordination, balance, memory, flexibility and strength. Over time, participants develop greater confidence, awareness and control of their movement – and expand their overall range of motion.
Supportive and social, Still Dancing Classes will connect you with your community, boost your mood, and keep you moving for many years to come.
Please Note: These classes have limited capacity. Registrations are essential. From time to time, these classes may be held at an alternative venue due to changes in Dancenorth’s schedule. Please check our website and social media for weekly class location updates.
