Remembrance Day 2026

Townsville City Council, in partnership with the Townsville and Thuringowa RSL Sub-branches, will host Remembrance Day services on Wednesday 11 November 2026 to commemorate the official end of hostilities in World War I.

This Remembrance Day, stop and take a minute to remember those who fought for our freedom.

Join Townsville City Council in partnership with the Townsville and Thuringowa RSL Sub-branches at two locations:

• 10:30am, Anzac Memorial Park, The Strand
• 10:40am, Thuringowa Cenotaph, Riverway Precinct

We invite the community to attend a service, wear a poppy or observe a minute’s silence at 11am, to pay tribute to those who served our country.

We will remember them.
