The countdown to New Year’s Eve is on! Where will you be as the clock strikes midnight?
Come Wednesday, 31 December, Townsville will be buzzing with excitement as we say goodbye to 2025, and hello to 2026.
With the night sky set to light up at three locations, this year’s celebrations are ones not to be missed.
RIVERWAY STADIUM, RIVERWAY PRECINCT
- 4pm - Gates open
- 6pm - Movie on the big screen: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish
- 8pm - Fireworks
Pack a picnic rug and enjoy food trucks and a movie under the stars!
SOUNDS ON THE SAND - STRAND PARK, THE STRAND
- 4pm - Event kicks off
- 6pm - Midnight - Live music on the main stage. Enjoy an amazing lineup including Tropical Low, Winifred, Dubbzone, DJ Nate Swan, Josie, MiG, ARYEL, Late November and THE POTBELLEEZ!
- 8pm - Fireworks
- Midnight - Fireworks
Enjoy an amazing lineup of live music, food trucks and amusements!
For those attending The Strand celebrations, park with ease - free buses will be operating every 15 minutes between Dean Street carpark and Strand Park, running 4pm to 12:40am.
