Townsville will be buzzing with excitement on Tuesday 31 December as we say goodbye to 2024, and hello to 2025!
Welcome the new year at one of Townsville City Council's New Year's Eve celebrations, with the night sky set to light up at three locations.
This year's celebrations are ones not to be missed.
Riverway Precinct, Thuringowa Central:
- 4pm: Gates and food trucks open
- 6pm: Watch 'IF' on the big screen
- 8pm: Family-friendly fireworks display
The Strand, North Ward:
- 4pm: Event and food trucks and amusements open
- 4.15 - 9pm: Busking trail
- 5 - 10pm: Roving entertainment
- 8pm: Family-friendly fireworks display
- Midnight: Fireworks display
Nelly Bay, Magnetic Island:
