King and Queen of Castle Hill Race

The Townsville Road Runners King and Queen of the Castle on Sunday 1 June 2025 marks the 54^th anniversary of this event.

Designed to cater for all different fitness levels, there is a short distance course (4.2km) and a long distance course (7.5km) on offer. Whether walking or running, everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate.

This year we are also lucky enough to be joined by Greg Wilson, who was crowned King of the Castle 50 years ago!

The run costs $10 and kicks off at 7am from Kennedy Street (Queens Gardens entrance), North Ward, but we encourage everyone to be there at least 30 minutes prior to the start time.

There will be a free BBQ for all participants afterwards.
