Free Water Safety Lessons

Council is partnering with Love2Swim School to offer FREE Water Safety lessons for children aged 3- 12 years. 

Come along to a free 30 minute lesson and learn fundamental lifesaving skills, how to recognise water dangers, and how to rescue a troubled swimmer.

Each lesson will include:

• how to put on a Life jacket and what to do once you are in the water
• how to float and ask for help if you are in an emergency
• how to recognise a person drowning and what rescues to perform to help them
• basic lifesaving skills and fun water games.

These lessons are offered across 3 locations:

• Long Tan Memorial Pool
• Kokoda Memorial Pool
• Kirwan Aquatic Centre.

Lessons will be held 9 – 14 December.
