Father's Day Memorial

Townsville City Council’s annual Father’s Day Memorial will be held on Saturday 5 September from 8:30am to 10am, offering a welcoming space for reflection, remembrance and connection.

The memorial will feature live local music, opportunities for quiet reflection, and access to wellbeing information and support services. Attendees can also take part in mindful craft activities in memory of a loved one and receive a native plant to take home*.

Attendees are encouraged to share a poem in honour of a loved one, either by reading it themselves or having it read on their behalf by Council event staff.

A free BBQ breakfast and coffee will be available for attendees.
