Celebrate the festive season with Townsville's favourite Christmas tradition as Carols by Candlelight returns to Riverway on Sunday 6 December 2026.
Call for Auditions
Townsville City Council is seeking talented local performers to be part of Carols by Candlelight 2026.
Local singers and performers of all ages, backgrounds and musical genres are encouraged to apply for the opportunity to perform at one of Townsville’s most beloved Christmas events.
Applications for performers will open at different times in July and August, giving applicants more opportunities to be considered across multiple performance categories.

Audition Requirements
Main Show Vocalists and Pre-Show Performers are required to submit a video as part of their application. Video submissions will be reviewed by the selection panel and no live auditions will be held in 2026.
Community Choir applicants are not required to submit a video audition and can apply by completing the online application form.
