Geetha’s Natyalaya is an Indian Classical Dance School based in Townsville. In this annual dance school event, over 45 Geetha’s Natyalaya’s students aged from 7 to 65 will be performing Indian classical/semi-classical/folk dances.

The performance will be based on the oldest and most popular Indian classical dance styles, Bharathanatyam and Mohiniyattam. In these dance forms, the dancer communicates ideas through unique hand and facial gestures, and specific body turns and movements. These dance styles are known for its grace, elegance, expressions, and sculptural postures.

The performers will be in beautiful traditional costumes and jewellery dancing to Indian classical and folk music. The event is FREE and suitable for all age group.

Masala Indian Cuisine/ Cannon Park is catering for the event. If you like delicious Indian meal after the event, it will be available for purchase.
