The 35th Townsville Folk Festival returns from 12–14 June 2026 at Foots Hill Station, nestled in the scenic Reid River countryside.

Just a short drive from Townsville, this beloved family-friendly camping event brings together musicians, dancers, artisans and community members for a magical weekend under the stars.

Expect a rich line-up of diverse music, interactive workshops, circus performances, artisan markets, food trucks, a Kids Festival, and opportunities to connect through shared creativity.

With on-site camping and a relaxed, welcoming vibe, the festival is a celebration of music, art, nature and community spirit.

2026 Townsville Folk Festival – Practical Info

  • Dates: Fri 12 – Sun 14 June 2026

  • Location: Foots Hill Station, Reid River (~40 km west of Townsville)

  • Tickets: Weekend and day passes; Half-price youth tickets, children 12 & under free with ticket

  • Camping: Included with full weekend and day passes; bring own gear

  • Facilities: Accessible toilets, drinking water, hay bale seating; food stalls onsite (cash preferred), market vendors

  • Arrival: Gates open 10 AM; follow Flinders Hwy → Dingo Park Rd → Webb Rd.  For an additional $20 fee per person campers may arrive and set-up Thursday 11 June.

  • Weather & Prep: Rain or shine; pack sunscreen, hat, warm layers & rain gear

  • Rules & Safety: No pets (except assistance animals), underage drinking prohibited, secure valuables; one self-contained fire pit per campsite allowed with 2 water buckets, no generators
