The Early Years Expo and Welcoming Babies Ceremony

Come along to the very first Early Years Expo, a FREE community event which will showcase workshops, guest speakers, various exhibitors and stalls, plus free activities for the kids. The expo is designed to provide education and support to young families who are expecting or have children up to five years of age.

Speak to allied health professionals, early childhood educators, parental support groups, tiny tot sport and arts groups or just enjoy browsing the various market stalls.

This expo will feature Nicole Pierotti, parenting and child psychologist and founder of Baby Smiles. Nicole will be providing parents with insightful and practical tips through two workshops and will also be available to answer questions throughout the day, as well as officially launching her new book No More Nappies - Toilet Training Your Toddler.

The Early Years Expo will also include the first of two Welcoming Babies Ceremonies for 2018 (the next to be held on Sunday 9th September).

Welcoming Babies is a special event for our city's youngest residents and their families. In each session babies will be officially welcomed to their city of birth by the Mayor of Townsville and receive a certificate, photo with the Mayor, gift bag and a sapling which can be planted and grow with them.

Registrations for the Welcoming Babies Ceremony are now open. If you wish to register your baby for the ceremony, please submit a registration form for one of the sessions below:

Welcoming Babies registrations close on Wednesday 28 February.

The Early Years Expo is proudly sponsored by Calanna Whole Health Pharmacy.
