Swords to Ploughshares: the lives of Townsville’s returned service men and women

The Centenary of Armistice provides a unique opportunity to consider how those who served during World War I returned from war and continued contributing to their communities.  This exhibition explores the later lives of some of those returned men and women, and the benefits they bestowed on Townsville.

Presented by James Cook University in collaboration with CityLibraries Townsville’s Local History Collection, JCU Library Special Collections and the Museum of Tropical North Queensland Funded by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs as part of the Centenary of Armistice
