This workshop is for sports coaches and personnel, multi-sport organisations, disability service staff, parents and teachers interested in building the capacity of local sporting communities to be welcoming and inclusive of people with a disability.
Develop practical ways to coordinate and run activities on the ground.
Develop an understanding of current trends impacting the disability sector and the opportunity this presents for their sport.
Identify the potential target audience of children and adults with a disability in the region
Discuss pathways for children and adults with a disability to get involved in sport
Design an inclusive activity for their sport (that could be used at the Inclusive Sports Day)
Examine good practice examples of inclusive sport programming and evaluate the success factors in respect to their own context
