OTHELLO - TheatreiNQ

Description

TheatreiNQ's Shakespeare Under The Stars 2019 - OTHELLO by William Shakespeare

Despite prejudice and class differences, Othello & Desdemona fall in love and marry in secret, defying her powerful family.  But sinister forces are at work where they least suspect it.  Jealousy raises it's ugly head and suspicion leads this great hero to perform the most monstrous deed against his innocent love.

Terri Brabon directs a powerful all star cast led by Alfie Gledhill (The Gods of Wheat Street) who returns to Townsville to take on the title role alongside Shakespeare Under The Stars favourite Brendan O'Connor as the evil Iago.  Joining them are Brittany Santariga (Home and Away) and James Thomasson (WAAPA Graduate) also returning home to perform the roles of Desdemona and Cassio.

This year, let TheatreiNQ take you deep into the human psyche as we bring you Shakespeare's ultimate tale of love, deception and envy 'Under the Stars' in beautiful Queens Gardens.
